Wedgewood Homes and Toberman Partner for Christmas

“The kids who attend Toberman in many cases, these are the only gifts they receive each year,” explained Amanda Martelli, Director of Corporate and Individual Giving at Toberman.

Wedgewood Homes and Toberman partnered to create a memorable experience this Holiday Season. Over one hundred volunteers participated in the Breakfast with Santa Toy Giveaway , delivering gifts and foods to families in need. In addition, the employees at Wedgewood at the Redondo Beach headquarters donated gifts directly to Toberman to distribute at the Santa Breakfast.

Participating families are part of Toberman’s after school program, gang prevention program, or are receiving Case Management through the Family Source Center. Additionally, all families have incomes that qualify them to receive 1-1 case management, food pantry, tax preparation, legal assistance, and emergency rental assistance.

In 1864, the Toberman Neighborhood Center became the first Los Angeles social service organization. It became a haven for the community’s vulnerable youth. They currently offer gang prevention, gang intervention, youth development, and community resources to the people of L.A. Learn more about Toberman Neighborhood Center.
