Wedgewood Homes and Maverick Design are proud to congratulate Jessica Sommer, Vice President, on being named a double winner at the 2022 Stevie Awards for Women in Business — receiving a Silver Stevie in the Maverick of the Year category and a Bronze Stevie in the Woman of the Year category.
The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor women executives, entrepreneurs, employees, and the organizations they run. Now in its 19th year, the program is recognized as one of the world's premier business awards, with Gold, Silver, and Bronze winners determined by more than 200 business professionals worldwide. The 2022 ceremony was held on November 11 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Jessica was recognized in the Maverick of the Year category for her innovative, rule-breaking approach to building and leading her team, and in the Woman of the Year category for her achievements in the business services industry. She spoke to what the recognition meant to her: "This recognition is not just an acknowledgement of my contribution, but our entire team's efforts and the women who help create and shape a shared vision, and produce incredible work. Since joining Wedgewood in 2013, Jessica helped launch Maverick Design and has led its creative team — specializing in real estate, community revitalization, and value-driven design. Her work has been featured in Dwell, Better Homes & Gardens, House Beautiful, and more. She holds a BS in Interior Design.
